April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing guitar and taking piano lessons which ignited her interest in music writing. The song that she first wrote for April was Different. It was written at the age of 12. At the age of 14, April spent much time writing and honing her singing capabilities. Over the next few months she began taking trips to write along with her father, in LA or NY. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer who has a growing number of followers. She collaborates with famous brand Ilia through a collaboration, and is also an expert in the field of lifestyle. The disability she has is part of her personality, but it's not the complete story. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile does not shy away from her handicap, however it doesn't center around it in any way. What message is it sending? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our identities and physical selves don't always reflect what they seem. Lockhart through a recorded message sent from Nashville's house, says that I do not think that this should be a part of me. I'm more than my physical self. It doesn't impact my daily routine. I conduct your business in the normal way and have found my own methods to adjust. But it's also a part of me which is why I think that it's important to speak about. Lockhart who is an inspiration for self-acceptance in general has been on a long road to reach it. She has experienced periods when she felt insecure about wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. She now wears any outfit she chooses to and shares pictures of herself in these outfits on social media, she is proud of herself. The self-love she talks about is a journey. I'm not certain if you'll ever reach the end. But I think that's with every person, whatever their vulnerability may be. People you spend time by who are truly yours and are able to see inside your heart, are those that remind you of the things that matter.
